2012 – New Possibilities

Wednesday, February 1st, 2012

A new year is here, and Creaza has been off to a hectic start, with the BETT 2012 show as the main focus. BETT 2012 has been completed with great success, and we met lots of old and new Creaza users. Their feedback tells us that people are very happy with Creaza and the creative and subject related possibilities it gives the students.

At BETT we were visited by a group of students from Oaks Park High School in Redbridge in London. They started using Creaza in December 2011, and have already managed to apply use of Creaza to a wide range of areas. For instance the school has conducted an E-safety project where netiquette, source evaluation and privacy were all of great importance. Below you can see two examples of what they have done.

There are also quite a few things happening when it comes to development at Creaza. We are currently working on launching a Cartoonist app, which will be available first in the App Store for iPAD, and then the Android Market for tablets with Android OS. In addition to this we are working on upgrading both the tools and the portal. Further information will be posted on our blog in the near future. Still, the possibility of collaboration with others in the different tools is at the top of our list.

Creaza will also be present at several conferences this spring. NKUL in Trondheim, SETT in Stockholm and Fronter’s Danish user conference are but a few of the many conferences we will be attending.

Even though Creaza, by and large, is considered easy to use, many wish to have a custom fitted training in order to get a better overview of the possibilities of the toolbox. Creaza is therefore often on the road and giving training. If your school or county wishes to have a training, please contact us at:

E-mail: post@creaza.com

Phone: +47 47 77 88 00

We are working on showcasing the good examples from school at Creaza’s channels. If students have created good products that one wishes to highlight at Creaza’s blog, Facebook or YouTube channel, please send us an e-mail at post@creaza.com.

Go be creative!

BETT, NOT, ATH, CREATE – SHARE – LISTEN – and You & Me, Marrakech and Music ;-)

Friday, February 4th, 2011

Creaza had an incredible week in London at BETT 2011. (The world’s leading event for educational technology where education professionals can evaluate and purchase a comprehensive range of ICT products and services.)

A week filled with presentations, networking, branding and meeting customers  really confirmed to us that Creaza is being used a lot. We met hundreds of users and a lot of people within the education sector who all showed an interest in Creaza. A common theme is that our product always gives us the possibility to make people smile ;-)

Check highlights from BETT here: http://www.bettshow.com/bett11/website/Home.aspx?refer=1

For BETT 2012 we will move on to an even larger stand to meet the growing interest. More to come on this..

Creaza participated at NOT together with Fronter in Utrecht in the Netherlands in the end of January. It was an extraordinary stand with Creaza buttons all over and we met both existing and potential customers. NOT is the largest educational event in the Netherlands.

In the City of Oslo all students and teachers have access to Creaza, and they use it!
Nearly 30 000 people have used Creaza in Oslo since august 2010.

500 teachers from Oslo participated at the conference “Den digitale Osloskolen” Wednesday this week. We received a lot of positive feedback on how their students may use Creaza’s creative tools to create and produce and thereby show their skills and competence.

This week usage of Creaza was at an All Time High both when counting different users and unique products being produced. We like it!

This weekend Creaza will participate at the international CREATE – SHARE – LISTEN conference in Lillehammer, Norway. We are looking forward to meeting Digital Storytellers from all over the world.  You can find the conference website here: http://lillehammer2011.wordpress.com/

Norwegian and Swedish user conferences

Monday, October 11th, 2010

The last couple of weeks Creaza met a lot of Creaza users from Norway and Sweden. Fronter AS held their yearly user conferences in the two countries. For us at Creaza it was extremely nice to meet users and get their feedback. Users are happy with the product and the possibilities, but they also gave us feedback on what they would like as new content and functionality in the next release of Creaza.

At both conferences we made presentations on the possibilities with Creaza and showed what is new in the 3.2 release. Even more interesting, teachers from both Norway and Sweden showed how they let their students use Creaza in their learning process and in their creative project work. We are very pleased that there are so many professional and good teachers using Creaza with their students in such a good way.

Historical moments

In the latest release (Creaza 3.2) there is a lot of new and improved functionality, especially in MovieEditor. We have made this video to show you some of the new possibilities.

How many videos would you like to insert?

Tuesday, September 21st, 2010

With the latest release you can still add as many PiP’s (picture-in-picture) as you like. What is new in this version is the smooth way of handling PiP. Align your videos with the help of the grid once you have dragged the clips down on the timeline. In the preview window you can now add a grid. Choose among different different grids to find one to suit your project. The grid helps you place the videos (or other graphic objects) where you want. With the “snap-to-grid” feature it is even easier to align the videos.

In the movie below, there are 16 videos playing together on top of the “main” video.

Enjoy!

Oh! By the way… This video is exported directly from Creaza to YouTube with the new “Export to YouTube” feature.

“The new MovieEditor harnesses the power of Flash 10.1″

Thursday, June 3rd, 2010

Creaza has visited a lot of existing users and met new users in different countries throughout the spring.  At the same time, our developers have been working very hard so that Creaza can offer you even more technological possibilities, all over better performance, and exciting new content.

Creaza will soon launch a preview of the new MovieEditor!

There is a lot of debate regarding the use of Adobe Flash. We’ve decided to launch a preview of MovieEditor as an open test bench for the new Flash Player 10.1. You will have the opportunity to evaluate for yourself what can and can’t be done using Flash! Steve Jobs has labelled Flash as old technology. Apple claims that Flash is an obsolete CPU hog, and that developers should consider reaching out to the open Web standards of the new HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript instead. Adobe says Apple’s technology complaints are a smokescreen. Adobe has taken measures to increase performance, and Flash will continue to innovate and expand the limits for what is possible on the web.

While Flash as a video player for the web may or may not be threatened by HTML 5, the launch of Flash Player 10.1 provides an opportunity to move the front to the next level. When the new Flash Player is released we will show you that video editing in the cloud has no limits.

Let us be clear: Flash Player 10.1 rocks! We will post an update when the Flash Player 10.1 is released. The new MovieEditor is scheduled for August 2010. You will be informed about the site for the Technology Preview on our Blog.
